The progress of modern ophthalmology has greatly enhanced the level of diagnosis and treatment. However, many unresolved issues, especially the pathogenesis of fundus diseases, remains unclear. Therefore the targeted treatment methods for this pathological condition still need further research. Nowadays, there have been many studies on the pathc|genesis of fundus diseases from the perspective of gene and molecular biology, however, little was from the perspective of endocrine hormones. After many years of research in the relationship between hormones and fundus diseases. Director Zhang Hongbing found that these aspects had been thoroughly studied abroad. Therefore, in the case of very heavy clinical and scientific research tasks, he used his spare time to collect the relevant literature on the study of the relationship between endocrinology hormones and ophthalmology, and introduced it to colleagues in the domestic ophthalmology community. As a meaningful task, this publication can help Chinese ophthalmologists to learn the research about the relationship between the hormone and fundus diseases which will accelerate the research progress in this regard.
